Business intelligence

Engage’s BI (business intelligence) export functionality allows Engage users to export data, enabling it to be analyzed with third party tools. Engage’s data can then be combined with other sources, allowing for deeper and more flexible analysis.

Design Studio and Marketing Groups Support

BI Export functionality now includes additional export files to support customers using the Design Studio with Marketing Groups. They are:

• Email
• Sendout
• MarketingGroup

Design Studio additions to BI Export

Location of BI exports

Your exported data files will be placed on Engage’s internal FTP server. From there you can fetch your exports.

[base ftp-url]/integration/export

Exports are performed once per day during the night. The exact time is configurable in the Engage back-end. Talk to your implementation manager or CSM if you want to make changes to the export schedule.

The Engage FTP server should only be used for transfer of BI export files and NOT for storage. Files older than 180 days will be automatically removed by housekeeping jobs.

Here are the different entities that can be exported.

Those exports marked with an asterisk * are only available for users of the Design Studio.

BonusPointTransaction (DEPRECATED)

This export gives you information on all bonus point transactions.

Consent

The Consent export gives you the fields associated with consents.

Contact

The Contact export is a file definition for each contact type. The columns to be exported can be configured.

Email*

Contains email-level data related to sendouts created in Design Studio. Only generated for customers using Design Studio.

Labels

The Labels export returns all the labels stored in Engage.

LabelsToTaggedContact

The LabelsToTaggedContact exports all contacts with labels tagged to them, and shows you which labels they are.

MarketingGroup*

This contains information about Marketing Groups used within Design Studio. Only available for customers who use Design Studio with Marketing Groups.

MasterControlGroupHistory

To see which contacts are included in the master control group, use the MasterControlGroupHistory export.

Message

The Message export contains information about a created message and its settings.

MessageClick

The MessageClick export shows data on what has been clicked on, and when.

MessageControlGroup

Ths MessageControlGroup export shows the contacts in a control group.

MessageDelivery

The MessageDelivery export displays information about which contact received a message (but not those included in a control group).

MessageDeliveryStatus

The MessageDeliveryStatus export contains information on delivery status for each sendout. Example statuses: Delivered, Blocked.

MessageOpen

MessageOpen contains information about email openings. Also contains user agent-data, which is raw data formatted from the email distribution system sendgrid.

PointAccount

PointAccount exports all the point balances.

PointTransaction

PointTransaction exports all point transactions.

PredictiveScoring

PredictiveScoring gives you all the fields visible in the predictive scoring box on the contact card.

Promotion

The Promotion export has information regarding a created promotion template.

PromotionRecipient

PromotionRecipient provides information about who the recipients of a promotion are and what status the promotion has.

Receipt

The Receipt export gives you information on all transactions. Only the head of the transaction is exported.

ReceiptItem

Information on transaction rows is available with the ReceiptItem export.

SavedSearch

The SavedSearch export contains all saved searches.

Sendout*

This export contains information about sendouts created and managed through Design Studio. Only available for customers using Design Studio.

Store

This export contains information on all your stores.

TargetAudienceToContact

The TargetAudienceToContact export contains information on which contact belongs to which target audience.
